As someone who tests new vacuums every month, I can easily argue why robot vacuums are better. Or Why are cordless vacuums better? If you’re having trouble deciding, my final advice is to always get both — I promise there are budget-friendly ways to do so, especially when there are so many good vacuums on sale for Prime Day.
Should I get a robot vacuum or stick vacuum?
If you know deep down that the only way your house can be vacuumed every day is if a robot does it, then a robot vacuum is the way to go. If you’re a stickler for cleanliness and find the task cathartic rather than tedious, then a cordless vacuum is the better option for you. If you feel passionately about one side, there are plenty of deals on splurge-worthy vacuums I’ve tested like the Dyson V15 Detect Extra or the Dream X60 Max Ultra Complete.
But most people can probably find themselves wanting access to both types of spaces, depending on how busy their day is. In that case, I would recommend dividing your vacuum budget. Instead of spending $700 to $1,000 on a really good vacuum, you can buy a budget-friendly stick vacuum like the $269.99 Shark Clean & Empty and a budget-friendly robot vacuum like the $399.99 Dream D30 Ultra CE. Both are still incredibly powerful for their price, and there will be plenty of mix-and-match options as more vacuum deals come out until the end of Prime Day on June 27.

When the Eufy C28 came out in February 2026, I tested it and loved it. And I think it will remain one of my most recommended robot vacuum and mop combos for the next year.
The Eufy C28 is probably the most affordable roller mop robot vacuum you can get, and easily the most heavy-duty mopping robot vacuum out this season. The fluffy roller covers the entire bottom of the vacuum and flushes itself with fresh water while mopping, making it a far more reliable option for sucking up large liquid spills (without spreading around) than other cheap mopping robot vacuums. Its self-emptying dock also rinses and dries wipes after each clean, so it’s easy to forgive how painfully noisy it is.
