Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant had to restrain Josh Hart after his controversial one-on-one take. In April, there was discussion about which NBA player is the best one-on-one scorer. Hart chose former star, Michael Beasley, over Durant during an episode of his podcast, “The Roommates Show.”
At the time, a one-on-one game was going on between Beasley and Lance Stephenson, which sparked discussion. The former Miami Heat forward won 31–21 against Stephenson and won $100,000 in prize money.
Thanks for the submission!
On Wednesday’s episode of the show, Hart revealed that Durant took offense to what he said. The New York Knicks forward told his teammates, Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges, that KD had sent him a message on social media.

“KD, he DMed me after he saw this. He told me I was smoking rock,” Hart said. “I said, ‘Hey man, I want to see that matchup.’
“And then I saw that, I saw Bess and Lance playing, I had to DM him. I said, ‘You know what bro, I was wrong.'”
Fans have not yet seen Kevin Durant in a one-on-one game. But he performed well during isolation situations, making him one of the best offensive players in history. His combination of length, agility and talent makes him nearly impossible to guard.
John Gambadoro says the reason Kevin Durant is missing games is because he’s starting a family
The Rockets played against Kevin Durant’s former team, the Houston Rockets, on Monday. This was supposed to be Durant’s first game in Phoenix since being traded over the summer. However, he was put on the out list due to a family matter.
KD’s old team, the Golden State Warriors, will play the Rockets on Wednesday. But Houston will miss him because he’s out for the same reason.
Suns insider John Gambadoro said a source told him KD is starting a family, he revealed on Monday’s “Burns & Gamboa Show.”
“I’m not reporting this, but someone told me, ‘I think she’s having a baby,'” Gambadoro said (timestamp: 8:40:33). “So, I think that’s why he’s not playing, but I don’t know for sure. But someone just said to me, ‘Hey, I think he’s becoming a dad.'”
There is no confirmation whether the insider’s report is true or not. The team did not explain the reason for this in its initial report. The Rockets have not provided any further information on Kevin Durant’s absence.
The next possible game for Durant to reunite with the team will be on Sunday, as the Rockets face the Utah Jazz.
