For anyone who finds ChatGPIT rude or impolite, OpenAI has some welcome news as it is letting users customize their personality with extra warmth or enthusiasm.
In a post on Of the four options, you can choose between More, Less, or Default so you can tune ChatGPT to your responses exactly how you want. These new features come about a month after OpenAI added Professional, Candid, and Quirky options to GPT-5.1 under the “Base style and tone” setting, also found in the Personalization tab.
The latest optimizations likely stem from the setback that OpenAI faced earlier this year when it launched GPT-5 to replace GPT-4o. Users’ resentment revolves around the latest update feeling less interactive and friendly, which led to OpenAI introducing the option to choose between models and promising to improve GPT-5.
