On Friday morning, both X and Grok websites and apps went offline for users around the world. Outage reports began arriving on DownDetector around 10:00 a.m., while Cisco’s ThousandEyes outage map focused on more than 600 X servers around the world that were experiencing issues.
An attempt is made to load the site with one of Twitter.com Or X.com addresses were showing a Cloudflare connection error or failing to initially show any posts or feeds. It is currently unclear what caused the outage, and while the site is back up for many users, it is still not working normally, repeatedly displaying “Something went wrong. Try reloading”.
The website and apps began coming back online for some users around 11 a.m. ET. However, the issues seem to be occurring on and off, with the website and app coming back online and showing updated posts for some users, but continuing to have issues loading the feed and displaying the latest posts.
