WR Elijah Moore visits Broncos

It appears the Denver Broncos are looking for reinforcements at wide receiver.

According to the NFL’s transaction wire, the Broncos brought in veteran receiver Elijah Moore for a free agent visit on Monday. Both the team’s active roster and practice squad are full, so if Denver signs Moore, the team will have to make the appropriate moves to make room for him.

Moore (5-10, 180 pounds) originally entered the league with the New York Jets in 2021 as a second-round pick out of Ole Miss. He hauled in 80 receptions for 984 yards and six touchdowns over the course of two seasons before being traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2023. Moore spent two years in Cleveland, totaling 120 receptions for 1,178 yards and three touchdowns. Score.

Moore, 25, signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills this spring. He hauled in nine receptions for 112 yards over the course of nine games before being waived last week to make room for Brandin Cooks in Buffalo. Denver currently has five receivers on its active roster in Courtland Sutton, Pat Bryant, Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin and Lil’Jordan Humphrey.
