Most of the day on Monday will be dry and the maximum temperature will be around 40 degrees in the afternoon.
Expect wintry weather to begin in the evening as temperatures drop into the mid 30s.

Snow will be more likely in southern Indiana at this time and the farther south you go, the more mixed precipitation will be.
There is a possibility of more widespread snowfall from night till Tuesday morning.
This is where snow accumulation will be possible. However, the main factor that may prevent significant accumulation of snowfall is the lack of very cold polar air masses that typically accompany this type of system.

Yes, it will be cold, but we won’t be getting into deep freezes like we typically do with these types of storms.
Still, some impact is expected through Monday night and Tuesday afternoon.
The snow is expected to move away from Kentuckiana by 8 or 9 a.m. Tuesday and temperatures will remain in the 30s across the region.

As discussed earlier, if we were expecting snowfall to be around and temperatures to remain low, that doesn’t seem to be the case with this system.
Highs are still expected to rise into the mid to upper 30s on Tuesday with some afternoon sunshine.
Some snow accumulations are expected across much of Kentuckiana but not much.

Right now, we’re looking for 1 to 3 inches, with the upper end of that range likely to be seen in the northern counties of Kentuckiana.
Most of us in the metro can see about an inch to two inches, with the lower end of the range being seen in areas south of Bardstown.
