The forecast for Tuesday at CNY is for the first half of the day to be calm due to increasing clouds and dry road conditions. Winds and light rain in the afternoon, maximum temperature 51 degrees Celsius. Then between 1-3 pm on CNY there is widespread rainfall from south to north, becoming steady from afternoon to evening, then becoming sporadic overnight and tapering off by sunrise.

This next weather system will bring heavy heat with highs near 60 degrees on Wednesday! The record high is 67 set in 1979. Then a cold front brings a line of rain from west to east through CNY between 3-6 pm. Cold and windy Thursday with heavy lake effect snowfall in northern and western NY, light snow and showers across CNY and a high of 38. Then Thursday night lake effect snow falls further south into CNY and snowfall is possible. Snow on CNY persists with strong winds through Friday, tapering off on Saturday.
