We finally find out where Max is (at least, his consciousness) during the first volume. stranger things Season 5: Trapped inside Henry/Vecna’s memories. and that is especially Taking refuge in a cave which Henry appears frightened of and refuses to enter. So…what’s the deal?
Diversity Talked to Ross and Matt Duffer about the first four episodes of the final season, and asked if there’s a reference to The Cave first shadow (The stranger things Prequel Play) – where young Henry encounters a cave “connected to the Upside Down” in Nevada.
According to Matt, Max’s cave is actually the same one. As he said, “When we were working on the play with Kate Trefry, we worked on Henry’s backstory. We always had to strike a balance with how much we were going to invest in the play. (Director) Stephen (Daldry) and (producer) Sonia (Friedman) were always pushing for more and we were pushing back and saying, ‘Okay, we’ll have to wait to reveal that in the show.’ You’ll see, especially as you get to the final episodes, there will be more overlap with the drama.”
He also confirmed that “You don’t have to see the drama to understand. They’re Easter eggs more than anything.”
it certainly sound As to why Vecna is afraid of this cave from her Upside Down origin story, but guess we’ll have to wait and see!
