For most families, Thanksgiving means preparing lots of food at home; An activity that sometimes requires a last-minute trip to the grocery store. The huge supermarket at 1880 Leathsville Road in the Hellertown area is the main establishment that many residents depend on for their grocery needs, which is why they should know that it will close early on Thanksgiving Day.
According to signs posted at the store, the Hellertown Giant will close at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 27. The store’s listing on Google indicates it will open at 6 a.m. Thursday.
Hellertown Giant’s regular hours are 7am to 11pm daily.
Giant operates about 15 stores in the Lehigh Valley area. Holiday hours may vary slightly at other Giant stores.
Pennsylvania Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. However, supermarkets like Hellertown Giant that have beer and wine licenses will sell those items to individuals needing last-minute refinement.
