The fifth and final season of stranger things Will introduce fans to several changes – including the elimination of Will’s bowl cut!
Ahead of the premiere of Volume One on Wednesday, The Tonight Show A new minute-long “Stranger Things Recap Wrap” was unveiled, in which Hawkins’ bravest heroes break down the past four seasons of Demogorgons, portals, and Upside Down shenanigans.
Stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Maya Hawke reunite to race fast through a series of Stephen King-inspired mythology and briefly explain how a group dungeons and dragons-Indiana-loving tweens get caught up in a supernatural conspiracy in the 1980s.

Each star uses a handful of words that make up lyrics such as, “Hawkins / Indie / ’83, chillin’ / Playing D&D, I’m missing / OMG.”
For Season 2, the crew raps, “Upside Down/It’s got some cracks, Will’s got it/Eleven’s gone.”

Schnapp, whose character Will spends most of his time during the season either lost or possessed, regularly interjects to remind viewers of his main feature: the “Major Bowl Cut.”
As the clock ticks down, the beats get louder, and as their time runs out, the crew’s pace picks up, echoing how Season 4 left Hawkins in shambles. “Vecna is coming / Out for the kill, hurry up, run over that hill / Mom’s in Russia, umm, okay, but L is here to save the day / Season five, Vecna’s lair / Don’t start floating in the air / Another year with better hair / Stranger things, we’ll see you there.”
The rap recap segment is one of many ways stranger things will cross with cast The Tonight Show. Matarazzo was the first cast member to join the late-night talk show before the final season premiere earlier this fall, with Carey appearing on the show’s Thanksgiving episode.
After this, Brown will serve as Jimmy Fallon’s co-host for the show’s final post-sunday night football Special on 7th December.
At the end of that month, a full week will be shown in the series. stranger things guests, Including Winona Ryder, Wolfhard, McLaughlin and the Duffer Brothers.
It’s a fitting celebration for one of the most anticipated TV shows of the year. After nearly a decade of watching and speculating, creators Matt and Ross Duffer have said that the final eight episodes of Netflix’s hit horror series will be like “eight blockbuster movies.”
In September, Netflix gave fans a glimpse of the final season, showing several behind-the-scenes clips that saw its cast reuniting as they prepared to fight against the villainous Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) to save Hawkins and the world as they know it.
Brown described Season 5 as “more adventurous” and “missionary” than its predecessors. “Everyone is really into it,” he said in the feature. “No one is sitting comfortably on the walkie-talkie, everyone is going at it full force.”

Hawke, who plays Robin, said, “This is a season of fighting tooth and nail, even when you don’t know if you’re going to win.” “This is the biggest stakes the show has ever faced,” Wolfhard said.
Season 5 will be released in three installments, with the first volume dropping on Wednesday at 5pm PT/8pm ET. The second segment follows Christmas Day at 5PM PT/8PM ET, concluding on New Year’s Eve at 5PM PT/8PM ET.
