The Trojans had 10 of 15 blocks in the first half – USC’s second-most blocks in a game since 1984. Laura Williams had four, Yakia Milton had three and Davidson had two.
Chloe Lary and Cam Matthews each scored 12 points to lead the Eagles (4-2). Reaghan Grimes, Tech’s leading scorer with 15.2 points per game, stood at seven. She missed her first 10 shots until hitting a 3-pointer with 1:51 remaining in the game.
Tech struggled at the free throw line, shooting 11 of 25. Grimes scored all four of her points, while Larisha Cawthorn missed five and Amaya Redd missed four.
Tennessee Tech will host Lipscomb on Monday.
USC will host Pepperdine on Friday for the second of six consecutive home games.
