Jacksonville, Florida. – A United States senator has called on All Elite Wrestling owner Tony Khan to recruit Bad Bunny to AEW following the anti-ICE chant controversy.
Tony Khan is the son of Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan.
It all started during the main event of AEW’s flagship show last Wednesday night when anti-ICE chants broke out. The participants (champion MJF and challenger Brodie King) reacted as the announcers stopped talking, as the chants drowned out a portion of the match.

Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego posted this on Twitter: “@TonyKhan It’s time for @AEW to solidify a massive fan base. @sanbenito loves wrestling, he needs to show off something. No stretcher matches please.”
“@sanbenito” is Bad Bunny’s handle on X. Bad Bunny, who headlines the Super Bowl halftime show, has a history in pro wrestling, having competed several times for AEW’s main rival, WWE.
The entire issue will be discussed Tuesday night on the Going Ringside TV show which airs at 7:30 on The CW-17 in Jacksonville. All episodes can also be seen here on the Going Ringside YouTube channel.
As of now, there has been no statement from AEW as to whether they will be on board with Senator Gallego on the idea of hiring Bad Bunny.
Their flagship TV show, “AEW Dynamite” airs on Wednesday nights.
