The trailer begins with a squadron of X-Wings and Y-Wings returning to Adelphi Base, home of the New Republic Ranger Division, with whom Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) signed up to become an independent contractor. The Mandalorian Season three. Set in the Adelphi, we get to see some shots of Din and Grogu sitting in their new ride: a very familiar ST-70 gunship.
Din’s old ride, razor crestHe was destroyed by Moff Gideon at the climax of the show’s second season, leading to his appearance in and a Naboo N-1 starfighter to fly throughout season three. book of boba fett. However, it’s not a restored version of his old ride: director Jon Favreau confirmed in comments made at the New York Toy Fair last week that it’s a new ship of the same model – albeit one that has been re-named. razor crestInstead of being given a new name.

We move to another planet’s urban scene at night as Din tries to get information from a local street food vendor A The Hut (presumably Jeremy Alan White’s Rota the Hut, which can be seen briefly on the holoscreen in the background of the scene). The vendor who readily agrees, despite Din’s offer of New Republic credit, is an Ardenian, a four-armed species. Solo: A Star Wars Story With the character of Rio Durant… who was voiced by Jon Favreau of course. Here, the voice is more surprising: Lucasfilm has confirmed that the alien will be voiced by Hollywood legend Martin Scorsese.

But it could be another Hutt, given that we meet two more right after, as Din walks into a large base to meet a pair of Hutts resting surrounded by beat-up bodyguard droids (one heavily uses Super Battle Droid parts). In fact, based on the markings on their faces, they are the Hutt Twins who were first seen book of boba fett. Described there as the late Jabba’s cousin – as seen in the first teaser, the door leading to his room is decorated with the Desilijik Kazidik, the symbol of Jabba’s Hutt crime family – he is last seen retreating to Tatooine and relinquishing his claim to his cousin’s stake on the planet.

We then cut to a room of people around a large desk – judging by the Snowtroopers we’re seeing, it’s the same snowy planet (presumably Hoth, if the film’s tauntoon-filled Super Bowl ad is anything to go by) that we previously saw Din fighting AT-AT walkers on. “Long live the Empire,” the prominent man at the desk proudly declares, firmly declaring his connection to the imperial relic. The Mandalorian Season three first touched on the concept of warlordism, a major aspect of the old star wars The Expanded Universe’s vision of the Empire after Endor: the idea that senior officers and admirals took their armies and created their own personal kingdoms to rule as a dynamism to the Empire’s influence.

“We’ll take out every bad guy on your cards,” Deen says to Colonel Ward (Sigourney Weaver) at the Adelphi base, when she hands him a Sabac card. A Saibak deck typically contains 76 cards, which may mean that Ward has a Very People on his to-do list to deal with.
It’s interesting to note that, as he does the little salute, Grogu is now seen wearing the mudhorn beskar Rondel forged for him by the Armorer in season three outside his robes – a pretty indicator of his embraced status as a Mandalorian founder.

After a brief shot of Din walking into the same room we saw in the first Imperial relic and promptly killing two guard Snowtroopers (and a U-wing returning to the Adelphi base), we return to the conversation between Ward and Din that we saw briefly in the opening teaser. “This isn’t about revenge,” Ward tells Din, as we cut to another shot of Grogu using the Force on the mouse droid. “This is about preventing another war.” The Mandalorian The New Republic’s response to the remaining occupation has been discussed before, mostly from the perspective of how it treated defectors and POWs, so it will be interesting to see if The Mandalorian and Grogu More to be said about the idea.

During this exchange, we also see a view of another new world – this time an overgrown jungle environment, as droids race across an airfield while ships shoot into the sky from embedded hangars. Given that we saw the Twins surrounded by similar-looking droids and some of the base’s architecture, it’s reasonable to assume that these are forces allied with the Hutts, and if they are, this can Nal Hatta Ho, which has been portrayed with a similar atmosphere in the past.

The next key shot shows a thin alien figure walking towards a lone building in the distance on a rain-soaked night. The structure and general atmosphere looks a lot like Din and Grogu’s house that we saw them retire to at the very end of Navarro. The Mandalorian Season three, although it’s hard to tell due to bad weather.

After a brief cut Din is brought before the twins (and his helmet is taken off-a). Big (Din’s secret deal to the Mandalorians and the subject of much of his arc in season three trying to work himself back into grace), we cut to the alien figure, revealing it to be none other than the bounty hunter Ambo. An irregular character who appeared throughout clone wars animated series, Ambo was a Kyuuzo and worked with a whole group of allies, including a young Boba Fett’s crew and, perhaps more relevant to this film, the Grand Hutt Council, the ruling body of the Hutt clans. The small dog-like creature we saw next to him is likely Marrok, Ambo’s pet Anuba (not to be confused with Marrok, the Imperial Inquisitor). Ashoka and upcoming Maul: Shadow Lord-Anuba came first!)
“You will suffer,” the male twin says to Din, as we head back to Grogu in the same rain-soaked world where Ambo is, “and then, it will be his turn.” But why do the Hutts beef with Din and Grogu? Even though he took away Jabba’s stake on Tatooine, is he angry that he helped Boba Fett protect his legacy of Jabba’s rule?

We then get a fun little montage of Grogu shots – first, he’s readying his armor and the little wrist-mounted blaster we saw him training with the other Mandalorian Founders, then riding with the Angellon we saw in the previous teaser, and then using one Very The Yoda-esque staff has to wade under some mossy tree roots before finding a place to sit and meditate. “The child will live centuries beyond me,” Din says in a voiceover. We also see him saving Grogu from a body of water. “I won’t always be around to protect her.”

We then head back to the area we saw a lot of in the early teaser, and get our best look yet at Rota the Hut, looking very swollen and brandishing two large axes. The Mandalorian and Grogu This is Rotta’s first major on-screen appearance since her debut in 2008. clone wars The film revolves around his capture by the Separatists in an attempt to strengthen Jabba the Hutt in order to undermine the Republic’s support in the Clone War.

Then, we see an unmasked Din coming out of the water next to him colliding with a giant, white-skinned snake (aside from the water we see him saving Grogu, where he was wearing his helmet). This animal looks a lot like the dragonsnake, a large serpentine creature seen before. clone wars This Nal was a native of Hutt, giving further credence to the fact that some of these scenes are taking place on the Hutt homeworld.

After a few more action shots, we get the best scene yet of Zeb’s return star wars. After a brief cameo The MandalorianThe third season of, rebels Stalwart (still voiced by Steve Blum) will have a more prominent role in the film, working directly alongside Din and Grogu.

A few more action shots later (a ship crashing into the jungle base we saw earlier, Din fighting in the underground tunnels where the twins live), we get a brief but very fun shot of the arena monsters we saw Din wrestling in the streets in the first teaser.
We get to see Mantelian Sevrip again (known as one of the creatures who plays on the Dejarik board with Chewbacca, C-3PO, and R2-D2) in holographic form. a new Hope) Break down the door to the arena – which appears to be called “Weather’s Apollo”, according to the Aurebesh sign above it. Of course, this is a nod to the late Carl Weathers and his role as Apollo Creed rocky Movies. Weathers played Navarro leader Greef Karga in the first three seasons. The Mandalorian before his passing in early 2024, and it is unknown whether he filmed any further footage as the character for the film.

Baby Yoda? Outside. Baby greedy? In. The creature’s breakdown causes chaos in the streets and leaves Grogu on the run with a new hover pram, as Din takes to the skies with his jetpack.

The trailer climaxes with another lovely nod to the show — back at Navarro and their little house, Din snatches a pack of those viral blue macarons out of Grogu’s hand, and scolds the founder for filling up before dinner. Could the blue macaron be back in trend? We will see.
While this new trailer actually gives us some information about what The Mandalorian and Grogu That’s going to be about it, it still plays a lot of cards close to its chest here, even as it sprinkles in a familiar face or two. it’s more than that The Mandalorian-As the royal and criminal underworlds battle it out in equal measure, the bond between Deen and his young ward grows, and that’s enough. What will the film do to enhance all this and make The Mandalorian and Grogu The show’s fourth season deserves to be its own dramatic adventure instead, but we’ll no doubt learn more about it as we get closer to its May 22 release.
