Uber is making it easier to get a ride at the airport or pay for someone else’s

There are some new features coming to the Uber app, including a feature that can make it easier to pick up someone or cover their ride. The new “Send Ride” feature allows you to pay for someone else’s Uber ride directly from the app. You set the number of rides and spending limits, then send a link to whoever you want to gift a ride.

Additionally, John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and Orlando International Airport are now available for Uber Share, which discounts your Uber fare when you share your trip with someone going in the same direction. The update comes as airports are still facing disruptions that could continue for some time, even now that the government shutdown has ended.

Another new feature, Uber Ski, makes it easy to reserve an UberXL or UberXXL directly for nearly 40 top ski locations in North America and Europe, and allows you to purchase an “Epic” ski and snowboard pass at the same time. Finally, Uber Eats is getting a Cameo-like feature for the holiday season that will let you add a celebrity video message to Uber Eats orders featuring the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, the Jonas Brothers, Jake Shane, and Tracee Ellis Ross.
