Trump’s FIFA ‘Peace Prize’ Ceremony Is the New Touching the Orb Meme

President Donald Trump, who oversaw the killing of dozens of people on boats in recent months, was honored with a “peace prize” by FIFA on Friday. It was an absurd gesture on the part of our childish president and the international football body to assuage the disappointment of not winning the Nobel Peace Prize, but at least it briefly gave us some funny memes.

It’s funny when you step back and think how far we’ve come. During Trump’s first term, the world recently witnessed the newly inaugurated US President touching a glowing sphere during his visit to Saudi Arabia and it was considered so unique that it lit up the internet for weeks.

It was a memorable photo and if you mention it in 2025 people will probably know what you’re talking about. But we get a new orbital-level image of Trump basically every day.

In fact, we got several bizarre photos of Trump’s appearance at the official draw for the FIFA World Cup 2026 on Friday at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Or, as Trump “joked” Thursday, the Trump-Kennedy Center.

And those photos instantly became memes that no one will really remember until the next week. We are constantly surrounded by the strangest nonsense imaginable on a daily basis.

Some jokes focus on Trump’s creepy face, such as when he picked up his medal and placed it around his neck.

Trump’s new “Peace Prize” was truly bizarre in its design. So other memes focused on the award itself, which looked like it was extremely creepy and was somehow printed at a local trophy shop for a minor league baseball team.

“New cursed orb alert,” one BlueSky user replied, making a connection we all seem to be making on social media.

Some people joke about what the legs of the trophy should actually be like, given that the game is known as football in most of the world.

And it turns out Trump actually feels the same way about the football name.

Trump: “When you look at football in America, football – we never call it that, because we have a little conflict with another thing that’s called football. But when you think about it, shouldn’t it really be called football? We’ve got to come up with another name for the NFL stuff.”

The White House is also proud of some of the most ridiculous footage that emerged from the ceremony, such as when Trump was dancing with the Village People. The White House “rapid response” account on Twitter shared a clip.

Trump is a clown whose actions put every American in danger. He called Somali-Americans “trash” last week and it barely broke through the noise of our ridiculous news environment. And he continues to defend the masked men who are currently terrorizing our cities, as well as bombing dozens of people in boats south of us. According to the Secretary of War, we attacked another boat in the Pacific on Thursday [sic] Pete Hegseth murdered four unknown spirits.

What latest horror awaits us next week in Trump land? We will find out soon. But it’s a sure bet that you won’t even remember Trump’s fake “peace prize” by then.
