Tracy Morgan, Daniel Radcliffe, and the ‘Reggie Dinkins’ cast weigh in on the show’s improv

if you ask The fall and rise of Reggie Dinkins Stars Tracy Morgan and Bobby Moynihan When asked whether they brought their improv experience to the set, they were instead quick to praise the show’s writing.

“The writing is so good, you won’t be able to get enough of it,” Morgan told Mashable in a video interview.

“There is no huge amount [of improv],” Moynihan said. “We’ll get to the end of a take, or we’ll do two takes, and usually on the third, we’ll mess up a little bit.”

However, if you posed the same improvisational question to Morgan and Moynihan’s co-stars or the show’s creators Robert Carlock and Sam Means, you’d get nothing but praise. snl Improving skills of alumni.

Carlock and Means wished to retain as much of Morgan’s improvisational moments in the show as possible.

During one discussion, Morgan “described a watch as ‘sweet as bear meat,'” Carlock recalled. “And I said, ‘Well, I don’t know what that really means, but we have to put it in the show.’

(Another line from Morgan that he hopes will work into the show? “You don’t mess with New York. We killed King Kong.”)

Elsewhere, stars Daniel Radcliffe and Erica Alexander described how Moynihan’s improvisations elevated the scenes.

“I love watching Bobby improve,” Alexander said. “He’s like a strange dog.”

“What are you saying?” Radcliffe asked.

Alexander explained that if you told Moynihan, “‘Go get this joke,’ he would find it.”

“I’m with you now,” Radcliffe said.
