This $7,999 robot will fold (some of) your laundry

If you have a spare $7,999 (plus a $250 deposit), and hate folding laundry, and you live in the Bay Area, year-and-a-half-year-old startup Weave has the robot for you: Isaac0.

Weave says it takes about 30-90 minutes for Isaac to pack a load of laundry. That’s all it does – it’s stationary and it needs a regular wall outlet – and it can’t cope with large blankets, bed sheets, or inside-out clothing. It’s also not fully autonomous, with teleoperators present to assist with tricky folds, though Weave says performance will improve over time.
