The coaches may not have any savings left after the Battle Rounds…but you, the audience, do. Things are a little different this season soundThe audience gets a chance to say which artists advance from the playoffs to the live finale, giving two lucky singers a second chance at stardom.
For Season 28, coaches Reba McEntire, Michael Buble, Snoop Dogg, and Niall Horan can only choose one artist from their team as a “finalist” to represent them on the live shows, sadly (potentially) sending the other three members of their team home. But before they’re completely eliminated, those artists go into a pool to be voted on by fans. This is how it works:
On the December 1 episode of the playoffs, both Team Reba and Team Bubble will perform, and those coaches will select their finalists, leaving the remaining six artists. That night, viewers can visit NBC.com/VoiceVote or use sound The app will cast its vote for one of the six non-selected artists to make it to the live finale.
On the December 8 episode of the playoffs, the same will happen with Team Snoop and Team Niall, giving us a total of six artists in the live finale on December 15! Of course, as always, voters will decide who ultimately wins. soundWhich will be revealed the next evening on 16th December.
There is also going to be a big reveal soundDecember 8 episode
But wait, wasn’t there just one more vote? Yes, the Mic Drop contest took place during the Knockouts, but the winner wouldn’t be revealed until the end of the playoffs! In case you missed it, each coach had to press their button for a spectacular “mic drop” artist that they wanted to see entertain the crowd in the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day, and voters picked the online winner. But we won’t find out who takes home that award until the December 8 episode, so tune in at 9/8c on NBC.
Connected: sound There will be some major format and rule changes for Season 29 (details)
Mic drop artists were 14-year-old Max Chambers (Team Bubble), country trio Deck of Hearts (Team Niall), Cowboy Aaron Nichols (Team Reba) and belter Yoshihana (Team Snoop).
