After showing off Yoshi in the last trailer, we got a small tease that sheds light on the film’s action and new world. But Universal also released an extensive ad over the weekend that gives us some more information.
As the ad says, there’s a big galaxy out there, and if you thought the last movie looked good, Illumination has really upped their game for the sequel. We’ve seen the film version of Sand Kingdom before (from super mario odyssey), where Mario and Luigi find Luigi. This new location gives us another new take on the giant cyberpunk city visited by Peach and Toad that also includes a bar full of classic mario enemy.
Finally, we see Yoshi doing what he’s best known for: swallowing enemies and spitting them out like eggs. Watching it as a movie is kind of goofy and funny, and your kids will definitely love it. super mario galaxy The film will be released in theaters on Wednesday, April 1.
