
The date for the anime was revealed at the Jump Festa panel, along with a new trailer highlighting the main cast. Set in 1890s America, our protagonist is Johnny Joestar (Shogo Sakata), a paraplegic ex-jockey who gains the ability to walk again after touching a power-up steel ball. The owner of said ball, Gyro Zeppeli (Yohei Azakami), is attending the titular cross-country horse race run by promoter Steven Steele (Kenta Miyake) and his wife Lucy (Rei Takahashi), so Johnny joins in as well.
Other notable racers include British horse racer Diego Brando (Kaito Ishikawa), indigenous runner Sand Man (Masaki Mizunaka), and Pokoloko (Kenichiro Matsuda). like before jojo’s In the series, the main characters have their own special abilities called Stands: for example, Gyro can channel energy into steel balls, and each Stand lets its user raise a leg during races and in moments when they are up against each other. When $50 million and fame is at stake, you need every advantage you can get in a race like this.
