Marvel recently announced x-men united, which comes from extraordinary x-men Writer Eve L. Ewing and artist Tiago Palma (new avengers,, Not to be confused with the 2004 film, the new ongoing series “takes the center stage of the mutant world”, said Marvel editor Tom Brevoort. Emma Frost has founded the new school Greymatter Lane, which aims to “take the mutant race to the next step in their evolution”. The school’s teachers include Wolverine, Magneto, and Rogue (and a few non-mutant guest stars), and the location itself is billed as a hub where “all the major players in the X-world will come together to fight, connect, and overcome their differences.”
Marvel believes United X-Books’ flagship book “Shadows of Tomorrow” initiative was first announced during New York Comic-Con, and Ewing called the book “some of the funniest comics I’ve ever made. Greymatter Lane is great because the mental space allows things to get weirder and more surreal, while still being based on the classic Xavier school energy we’ve all loved for decades.”
The X-Men are no strangers to schools, and the start of a new school prepares the mutants for their first MCU movie, whenever that comes. (Not to mention the ex-veterans hitting the big screen again with these next two the avenger Movies.) Hopefully Greymatter won’t be publicized as much as the Xavier Institute.
X-Men United #1 Releasing on March 11, 2026.
