
Since that little knowing tease at the end ControversyIn a surprisingly solid debut season, we know the show’s return will take us to an iconic location from the games: the glowing lights of New Vegas. Now, in a new trailer, we’re getting a taste of just how dirty the heart of the Mojave Desert will be for our heroes.
Today Amazon released a new look Controversy Season 2 is due to arrive on Prime Video next month, and the early trailer reintroduced us to the Wasteland and gave us some hints as to how Lucy (Ella Purnell) and the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) will find Hank MacLean (Kyle MacLachlan) leaving them across the Mojave. But the new trailer delves a little deeper into not only how Lucy and the Ghoul will navigate New Vegas, but also how all of our different allies find themselves dealing with the ramifications of last season’s explosive finale.
Returning this season along with Purnell, Goggins and McLachlan are, of course, Aaron Moten as Brotherhood of Steel member Maximus, who bonded with Lucy in season one but found himself tragically separated by the Brotherhood’s attack on the New California Republic in its finale, and Moises Arias as Norm McLean, Lucy’s brother who was left behind in Vault 33. Only for himself began to uncover the dark secret behind the bunkers. Actor-turned-Vault-Tech-marketer Cooper Howard reprises his role in new flashbacks to Ghoul’s old life as Frances Turner as Cooper’s ex-wife, Barb, a Vault-Tech executive who helped make the decisions that lead the world to nuclear annihilation.
But in addition to returning stars from the show, Season 2 will introduce major new players as we explore the myriad factions at play in New Vegas – chief among them is Robert House. Briefly played by Rafi Silver in a season one flashback and now played by (and voiced by) Justin Theroux. new vegas by the dearly departed ds9 Legend René Auberjonois), the mysterious Mister House is the founder of Roboco, who survived the bombings to emerge as a prominent leader in New Vegas, controlling the Strip from behind the scenes.
Controversy Season 2 will premiere on December 17 on Prime Video—in a significant change from season one, it will debut its eight episodes weekly.
