The Extended ‘Lord of the Rings’ Trilogy Comes Back to Theaters

In 2026, Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Completed 25 years. And to celebrate this milestone, it and its two sequels are bringing their extended versions back to the big screen.

Fathom Events and Warner Bros. are teaming up to bring the blockbuster trilogy to theaters for two weekends next month, with each installment being shown DBOX the first weekend. All three will get two days to themselves: Fellowship On Friday 16th and 23rd January, two towers on Saturday 17 and 24 January, and finally return of the king On Sunday, January 18 and 25. And for those who see them in AMC theaters, there will be a limited-edition collectible map tin and a Quest magnet set, while attendees at Regal and Indie theaters will get their own merchandise to take home.
