In the fifth and final season, it is Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egotistical whims. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in “Freedom Camp”. Annie struggles to put up a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko was nowhere to be found. But when the Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets off a chain of events that will change the world and everyone in it forever. This is the climax, friends. A big event is about to happen.
Most of the main cast is returning for the final season, and we’ll also see the return of Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), aka Homelander’s dad, who was alive and resting in cryostorage in the S4 finale mid-credits scene. Additionally, Jared Padalecki will be joining the cast in an as-yet-undisclosed role. This season will also include many characters Gen V: Jordan (London Thor), Mary (Jazz Sinclair), Emma/Little Cricket (Lizzie Broadway), Kate (Maddie Phillips), Sam (Asa German), and Annabeth (Kia King).
The first two episodes of boys‘The fifth and final season will premiere on April 8, 2026 on Prime Video, with new episodes airing every week until May 20, 2026.
