The Boston Celtics need to find consistency to take the next step

Despite a severe lack of talent this summer, the Boston Celtics are finding ways to win. Joe Mazzulla’s team is 9–8 through the first 17 games of the season, and have won 6 of their last 10 games. They may not be a competitive team this season, but the Celtics are certainly starting to figure out how to win with the current roster and their performance has steadily improved.

The next step in the Celtics’ development will be to find some stability. Right now, Boston is struggling to get consistent wins, and that is hindering its ability to climb the Eastern Conference and fight for playoff seeding. Of course, we’re still early in the season, so teams have plenty of time to start looking for Killer Instinct.

In a recent video of the “Backyard Buckets” YouTube video, the host noted that if the Celtics continue to win and can build some consistency and rhythm, the front office may consider allowing Jayson Tatum to return to the court this season if he is medically cleared. Tatum is currently out with an Achilles tendon injury.
