The Meta Quest 3 is the best standalone consumer-oriented VR headset and is a significant upgrade over its less expensive Quest 3S sibling. Both have the same Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, Touch Plus controller with inside-out tracking, and mixed reality passthrough. However, the Quest 3 has a higher resolution, higher FOV display and a wider focusing sweet spot due to its improved pancake lens design. The Quest 3 also has plenty of onboard storage. For VR veterans who would definitely benefit from a better display, I would highly recommend the Quest 3 over the 3S. I own it myself (and I reviewed it for IGN) and have logged over a thousand hours in Beat Saber alone.
