If you want good quality sound but don’t want to spend more than $200, the Bose QuietComfort is an affordable answer to the brand’s line-up. They focus on a great fit, as they come not only with multiple ear tips but also with multiple bands that can be changed over the earbuds for a better fit over your ears.
The accompanying app lets you adjust audio levels, but you won’t need to, as these earbuds make all your music sound better. They are reliable, have a long battery life and they will surely please the most picky audiophiles.
I’ve praised the QuietComfort Ultra, but Bose’s latest earbuds, the entry-level QuietComfort, are also great, especially with their sub-$200 price. Even after adjusting the ear tips and band, I didn’t find the fit on these to be as secure as the Ultras. However, my colleague Bethany Allard, who also tested the QuietComfort earbuds, said they were the best earbuds she’s ever had that fit her.
The sound quality of the QuietComfort is amazing. With these earbuds, listen to Ethel Cain’s A. home in nebraska Immersed me in orchestra. When? brick house The Commodores came on, earbuds turned up the pounding drum beats so I could hear them live.
The noise cancellation on the QuietComfort earbuds isn’t as sophisticated as the Ultras; I found that they had more sound leakage and the classic ANC buzz when I was in noisy environments. However, the ANC on these is still great, especially in quieter places.
My one small gripe with the Bose QuietComfort earbuds is that they require a separate app than the standard Bose ones. This is annoying if you’re an existing Bose user and need to download another app; Also, this earbud app isn’t as good as Bose’s flagship app.
Overall, these are a solid pair of headphones, with the $179 price tag being an unbeatable price.
