Read my full review of the 3i G10+ robot vacuum.
There are a number of situations in which the 3i G10+ will excel, most of which are often too difficult for low-end robot vacuums to handle with ease. It has by far the strongest suction power on the list, making it the best choice for pet hair care. The 3i G10+ is an incredibly rare budget option, with a great deal on small snags that can keep out cords or socks, as well as pet waste – a lifesaver if your floors are prone to random clutter at any time.
3i has packed so much advanced skill into this robot vacuum that it almost seems unfair to pit other budget options against it. This is the first robot vacuum I’ve tested from 3i, and I already know it will be one of my most recommended robot vacuums of the year – whether that’s specifically cheapest robot vacuumOr for a robot vacuum at no cost.
Like the Roomba 205 DustCompactor I just tested, the 3i G10+ compresses the clouds of dust it collects instead of dumping them into a big bin. It can be placed under existing furniture like a TV stand and will also save you from manual dustbin duty for more than two months. That part is good, but the 3i is a G10+ so Much more than a space-saving hack.
Before the cleaning even began, I was amazed by the accuracy and level of detail of the G10+’s initial map of my apartment. It automatically identified beds, credenzas, and toilets, noting where the rugs were. The app’s perception of my home became more impressive when the G10+ started sensing obstacles like socks and floating pet waste (brown sugar). But small obstacle avoidance isn’t the only high-end feature you’ll be getting here on the cheap – there’s also a livestream pet camera. it was Firmly $1,000+ robot vacuum feature so far.
All that brain power isn’t just show. The G10+ is a great device when it comes to cleaning. Its suction power of 18,000 Pa is plenty for this price range, and I appreciated seeing the bot work more slowly when feeling up the carpet. Yes, it mops too, and the little rotating corner mop is a nice touch that cheaper robotic mops don’t usually think about.
