“Got Milk” continues the conclusion of last week’s “Please, Carol,” in which our sarcastic heroine went to great lengths to try to get information from the hive mind by drugging and interrogating Zosia (Karolina Wydra). The result – massive grief for everyone around the world, as well as cardiac arrest for Zosia (who is still recovering from Carol’s grenade in episode three) – is a bridge too far for the others, and they decide it’s time to take a break from Carol.

The entire human population of Albuquerque is gone at once, leaving Carol completely alone to take care of herself… although, of course, she can still use the hotline to get help as needed. The difference is that instead of Zoysia or some other responsive voice on the other end, it’s a recording. A long-form recording that shows that the world’s feelings for Carroll haven’t changed – they have so Happy, and they want her to be happy too!—Now they just need some space.

As TV Guide has confirmed, the low voice that comes into Carol’s ear every time she dials the number is actually Seehorn’s Patrick Fabian. better call Saul The co-star himself. Her casting was kept a secret from Seehorn until she was actually on set to film the scene, but as she told the outlet, she was able to put it together without lapsing into “blooper take” mode.

“I don’t know exactly what tech they use, but I think if you found one of those psychologists or psychiatrists who study subtle facial muscle changes, I’m pretty sure you could see me going, What? patrick? But then I tried to cover the scene and run,” Seehorn said. “They said ‘Cut,’ and I started laughing and ran out and said, ‘That’s Patrick! You found Patrick!’ And he said he’d been sitting on it for a long time, just to mess with me.”

prior to PluribusGilligan created breaking bad And better call SaulAll three series are set in Albuquerque and use the same crew behind the scenes. but while breaking bad And better call Saul Occurs exclusively in the same universe, Pluribus does not. So this type of cameo is probably the only thing we get close to a “crossover”, and it’s a fun way to wink at fans without pushing the connection.

“Let’s face it, even if it’s not an Easter egg better call SaulPatrick Fabian has one of the all-time great voices, I imagine others would have voted him as one of the most pleasant voices on an outgoing message,” Seehorn said. “So I understand the decision.”

“Got Milk” is now streaming on Apple TV; Most weeks, new episodes of Pluribus Arrive on Friday.
