“Taylor’s connection to this film was to allow the use of a song, ‘My Tears Ricochet,'” her representative said, adding that Swift’s name was being used “to attract public interest by creating tabloid clickbait rather than focusing on the facts of the case.”

TMZ previously reported that during a meeting between Lively, Reynolds and Baldoni to discuss a rewritten scene, the actress asked Swift to come to her penthouse without knowing the circumstances.

According to the outlet, a source close to Swift said the singer believes Lively “timed her meeting” to cross paths with Baldoni.

“Justin was about to leave after a 2-hour meeting when Taylor walked in and was introduced to him for the first and only time,” the source alleged to TMZ. The source explained that Swift expressed her excitement about the film to Baldoni “because he was her friend’s boss.”

In their amended complaint, Lively’s lawyers accused Baldoni of “finding back-channel ways to criticize her body and weight” during the production of the film. “Lively was humiliated to learn that Mr. Baldoni, without her knowledge or permission, secretly called her fitness trainer and told her he wanted her to lose weight in two weeks,” her complaint alleged.

In his $400 million countersuit – which has since been dismissed by a judge – Baldoni’s lawyers reported that he had contacted Lively’s trainer “to ask what Lively weighed so she could train her back muscles in preparation for the elevator scene.” Baldoni wanted to “avoid injury” as he had “suffered from back injuries throughout his life.”

According to Baldoni’s complaint, during an April 2023 meeting, an “irate” Reynolds “yelled at Baldoni and accused him of making his wife look fat,” reportedly telling Baldoni, “How dare you ask about my wife’s weight? What’s wrong with you?”

Baldoni’s lawyers said that “Reynolds and Lively’s confrontation was so offensive that Baldoni felt he had no choice but to apologize repeatedly for what was a good faith and reasonable question to ask of the trainer.”

Baldoni also accused Reynolds of humiliating him at the January 2024 meeting. His attorney Brian Friedman later told Page Six that Reynolds was “angry,” “stern” and “emotional” during the meeting with Baldoni, but clarified that Reynolds had not “aggressively scolded” him: “The definition of barrette is to angrily scold or criticize.”
