It’s that time of year again. Summer Game Fest will run till June 8. The live Kickoff show will once again be hosted by Geoff Kegley and will take place on June 5 at 5pm ET. This is where we’ll see all those interesting reveals and trailers.
The inaugural event will be streamed globally on almost every digital platform including YouTube, Twitch, X and even Steam. People in the Los Angeles area will be able to pick up tickets to the live show sometime in the spring.
The kickoff event is just the beginning. There’s something called Play Days, which is an expo created by iam8bit in Downtown LA. This invite-only event promises “in-depth demonstrations and hands-on experiences from industry-leading publishers and developers.” Its coverage will be shared on digital and social platforms.
Of course, there is another livestream scheduled for immediately after kickoff. Day of the Devs: SGF Edition will provide us with even more trailers and reveals for indie games this time.
Finally, on June 8th there is a “thought leadership event” primarily for developers and publishers. Game Business Live “brings together top industry voices for insightful discussion on the key changes, challenges and opportunities shaping the global video game industry.”
We’ll be covering the event live and have all those trailers ready to go. After all, that’s the main reason people watch these things.
