Amidst the otherwise warm and candid photos, fans were particularly impressed by the photo of Vecna, portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower, sitting quietly with headphones on. Will’s sudden awakening of his powers and his confrontation with the Demogorgon completely changed the tone of the series.Speaking to Netflix Tudum, Ross Duffer explained why Will takes center stage in this final chapter. “One of the earliest ideas in[Season 5]is, ‘What if Will is able to harness this connection and use it against our villains?’ We also felt it was very natural to center the story again on Will. He was the kid who was taken in Season 1, so it felt right to complete the story. If anyone was to be the key to ending Vecna, it should be Will.Matt Duffer said that Will’s arc was always meant to come to a powerful emotional resolution. “There’s a lot that Will has been dealing with over the course of the four seasons before this, a lot of emotions and internal conflicts that are unresolved. So we wanted him to grow as a human being and become a more well-rounded version of who he is. And once he’s able to do that, he’s able to use these incredible powers.”The season also includes returning cast members Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Cara Buono, Matthew Modine, Sadie Sink, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, and Linda Hamilton.
When to watch the remaining episodes
Volume 1 of the final season premiered on November 27. The remaining episodes will be released in two parts in India on December 26 and December 31, bringing Hawkins’ story to its long-awaited conclusion.
