The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived: stranger things Is back. The show has returned to Netflix to begin its fifth and final season, and needless to say, its incredibly large fan base is ready for more adventures. And, from the looks of it, we’re in for its biggest adventure yet.
Set after Vecna’s curse came to fruition, Hawkins is now basically a military base of operations, filled with soldiers and officers investigating why a large interdimensional tear has appeared in the city’s structure. But, as we’ve learned from this show, it’s likely the kids at the center will be the ones who ultimately figure it all out.
That said, there is one character you won’t see in Volume 1 for quite some time.
Erica doesn’t appear in Stranger Things Season 5 Part 1 until Episode 3
If you are looking stranger things In hopes of seeing some epic one-liners from the one-liner queen that is Erica Sinclair in Season 5, you may be disappointed to learn that you’ll be waiting for a while. The fan-favorite character is mysteriously absent for the first two episodes of the final season, with no significant reason given. He is not there as the story focuses its attention on other areas.
We get this: stranger things It has a large cast, which has grown significantly over the course of the seasons. Heck, when Priya Ferguson’s Erica joined the show in Season 3 she was one of them. With the final season dealing with such a big slice of life story, it makes sense that not all of the cast shows up right away. And yet, it’s understandable that fans of the beloved character might feel a little missing that such a recognizable, fun part of the series is absent for a significant portion of the time in the opening moments of the final season – especially when he’s finally halfway through Part 1.

She finally appears when Mike and Nancy recruit her to help them with their plan to save Hawkins from Vecna and, as expected, she’s as charming and sweet as ever, delivering some of the best lines of the season in just one scene. You can’t argue with that!
Lucas’s sister, Erica, has become the head stranger thingsIntroducing some of the show’s most memorable moments since its third season. Since Season 3 was arguably the show’s most social media-aware season — i.e., its most memorable season — it’s not surprising that many of Erica’s famous lines are tied to that particular outing. And honestly, when you’re dealing with such high stakes as this show, it makes sense that viewers would appreciate the light-hearted nature of Erica’s scenes. It also helps that she has become a strong person and gets the job done whenever she is brought in to help.
She was given ample opportunity to do so again in the first half of the final season when she appeared in its last two episodes. We just hope that after ignoring the character a bit in the early episodes, Season 5 Part 2 will offer more material for him.
