Steve Jobs Hypes Up ‘Toy Story’ and Pixar in Unearthed Interview

During the interview, Jobs said that Pixar was doing so well at the time that it became the first non-internal studio Disney approached for animation – a collaboration he spoke highly of. With access to resources and guidance that Disney was not sharing (or selling) with its peers, Pixar adopted Disney’s method of “editing your film before making it”, refining that and other techniques for itself. Relations with Disney were going very well at the time, with Jobs openly speculating whether the studio would work with Disney again after the initial three-picture deal ended – he mentioned a second project, codenamed “Bugs”, would happen later.
