Exclusive: Apple Studios is full steam ahead greyhound 2, The sequel to the World War II hit starring Tom Hanks is in production in Australia. Stephen Graham has closed a deal to return opposite Hanks Robin Hood New additions to the cast include breakout Jack Patton.
Elisabeth Shue is also set to reprise her original roles.
The film is being made with the support of Screen NSW’s Made in NSW Fund, with the script also written by Hanks.
next chapter in greyhound The saga follows Captain Cruise (Hanks) and the Greyhound crew from the beaches of Normandy to the Pacific Ocean as they help turn the tide of the war. The sequel will see Graham reprising his role as Charlie Cole.

Following its global premiere on Apple TV in July 2020, greyhound Set viewership records or streamers and received an Oscar nomination for Best Sound.
The first film featured Hanks as a longtime Navy veteran who, as a first-time captain, was tasked with protecting a convoy of 37 ships carrying thousands of troops and much-needed supplies in the dangerous waters of the Atlantic during World War II. For five days without air cover, the captain and his small force of three escort ships must pass through an area of the ocean known as the “Black Pit”, fighting off Nazi U-boats while protecting their invaluable ships and troops.

Both films are written by Hanks, directed by Aaron Schneider, and produced by Gary Goetzman.

He’s also bringing his Emmy-winning performance to the Netflix series unshakeablesense. He is represented by Independent Talent Group and Link Entertainment.
Patton can currently be seen on the MGM+ series Robin Hood. He is represented by Gersh and United Management.
