Spotify now includes a built-in tool for importing your playlists from other services

Spotify definitely wants you to use Spotify only for music streaming, but is willing to accept that you may have used another service in the past. Those people can now import their playlists into the Spotify app more easily, thanks to its latest integration.

Available via Spotify mobile users and rolling out globally starting today, you can access the new feature through your Library in the Spotify app. Scroll down and you’ll see an option to import your music by connecting to TuneMyMusic (it looks like it boots you into your browser at this step) and choose the service you want to transfer. Apple Music already lets you do something directly from its Settings on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device, or via the web.

TuneMyMusic supports transfer to Spotify from a wide range of streaming platforms, including Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and Tidal. You will not lose your playlist in the source location. This will simply copy them so that they appear in your Spotify library.

If you’re not already aware, Spotify lets you customize playlists in a number of ways, from inviting friends to add their songs, to designing the cover art yourself. So if you’re considering making the jump from somewhere else, this new feature will make the transition a little easier.
