Spotify is going full-on books in 2026 and is partnering with Bookshop.org to let you buy physical copies of audiobooks and support local retailers in the spring. The announcement coincides with the launch of Pages Match, a new feature that lets you sync physical books and ebooks with audiobooks in the Spotify app using your camera.
When the partnership launches in the US and UK later this year, there will be a button at the bottom of audiobook pages prompting you to “get a copy for your bookshelf.” This process will take you out of the Spotify app to complete your purchase on Bookshop.org, and take you directly to the checkout page.
At an event announcing the partnership, Bookshop.org founder and CEO Andy Hunter talked about the importance of reading, saying that “Spotify is bringing in more readers, and I’m all for anything that increases the size of the pie.”
