Spotify is rolling out a new feature that aims to make switching between tracks even easier. If you’ll recall, the streaming service released the ability to create customized transitions within playlists back in August last year. This gave people a way to have a seamless progression and eliminate awkward silences between songs. Now, Premium users will be able to rearrange tracks based on their keys and BPM or beats per minute to ensure that the songs in their playlists flow seamlessly further.
The new feature can rearrange playlists with a single tap. All paid users need to do is tap on Mix on one of their playlists and then tap on the edit button. From there, they can scroll down to find the Smart Reorder option. Tapping Smart Reorder will automatically rearrange songs according to their keys and BPM without users needing to do anything else. All they need to do is click Save for the changes to their playlist to take effect.
Spotify says users have streamed more than 220 hours of their mixed playlists since custom transitions were introduced last year. It also listed some of the most popular people on the platform, including The Weeknd wake me up is changing after hours And Flo Rida’s Less in Rihan s&m.
