Baton Rouge, LA. (WAFB) – Southern University has found its head coach.
NFL Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk will be SU’s next leader. “The deal is done,” a source told 9Sports.
After one year as Colorado’s running backs coach, Faulk would head to Baton Rouge for his first head coaching job.
An official announcement is scheduled for Monday, December 1.

Just a week earlier, university officials had traveled to Boulder to interview the New Orleans native. A source also tells 9Sports that a major university donor is leading the move to bring Faulk back to his home state.
Southern still has one more game left this regular season as they will face Grambling State in the Bayou Classic on Saturday at 1 p.m.
