In my recent analysis of YouTube’s information density I included the results of an advanced statistical analysis on the number of videos present on the home page, predicting that there will be only a single video on the home screen around May 2026.

Surprisingly, a disgruntled Googler leaked a recording of how YouTube’s PM organization handled criticism as it remained on top of hacker news all day for some reason.

Unfortunately the myopia of the YouTube PM organization is accelerating: with this data I now estimate that from September to now there will be zero videos on the homescreen around May 2026.

Apparently Poe’s Law applies to Google PM, sarcasm is dead, and maybe our mandatory Neuralinks are coming sooner than I thought.
