Humble has teamed up with Frictional Games for a new bundle of PC games that push the horror genre forward. Bundle includes penumbra collector packall four amnesia Topic (The Dark Descent, A Machine for Pigs, The Bunker, And rebirth), And MonWhich I consider to be its masterpiece in terms of visual aesthetics. All six games are $15 each and can be redeemed on Steam (buying the same set on Steam will currently cost you $78). Some titles also work on Mac and Linux, and all are playable on at least the Steam deck.
I know, I know – you probably can’t tell much about what’s going on in the images in this post. You often have to venture into these dark places to reach the other end (sometimes while being chased by a creature that is attracted to you as soon as you see it). What I give these games credit for is that the thrills are mostly not cheap, and they don’t beat you to death with jump scares. Mind you, there are plenty of scary moments, but the games give you enough time to dwell as peacefully as possible in the horrors of their world, some of which are filled with hissing cockroaches.
You can get the games to play now, or get them so you have plenty to scare yourself with during Halloween. Either way, it’s a great deal, running until April 1, with a portion of your pledge going to the Against Malaria Foundation. Keys expire if unused on April 1, 2027, so make sure you redeem them already.
