For her part, Berthelsen told EW that she was “very curious to see where they wanted to take Kali” after the Duffers contacted her again. It was important to ensure that “she was in good hands.” For those who weren’t too enamored with her initial appearance, she teased the audience that they would get “an insight into who I personally believe Kali has always been”.
And Kali will be around for the rest of time stranger things, Or at least the second volume of it. Matt Duffer said that she will be involved in the next set of episodes and will be “very important” to both Eleven’s story and the larger plot to defeat Vecna. We’ll see what she adds to the cast when stranger things Returns with volume two on December 25th.
