sir richard branson has announced the death of his wife Joan.
In an Instagram post shared on Tuesday (November 25) Virgin Group The founder shared a photo of his late partner. He wrote, “I am very sad to announce that Joan, my wife and companion of 50 years, has passed away.
“She was the most wonderful mother and grandmother our children and grandchildren could have ever asked for.
“Our thoughts are with Sir Richard, Holly and Sam at this difficult time” – Publisher of Attitude, Dr Darren Stiles OBE
“She was my best friend, my rock, my guiding light, my world. Love you always, Joan X.”
Dr Darren Stiles OBE, publisher of Attitude, said: “The Virgin family is the Attitude family. Our thoughts are with Sir Richard, Holly and Sam at this difficult time. They were allies before it was fashionable to be allies.”
