Show HN posts per month more than doubled in the last year

After recently building some things using LLM and Agent Workflow, I was seeing more ‘Show HN’ posts. Assuming there has been an increase in people making things, but to rule out confirmation bias, I looked at the numbers.

Looking at https://hn.algolia.com/api, we can see that for January (yet to be completed), we are already +125% Show more HN posts than January 2025. HN is gone from show post 3.5% → 15% of total presentations.

It seems like people are building things and putting them out very fast, and I’m here for it.
