Shane Gillis show in central Pa. sells out in 30 minutes

If you’re hoping to buy tickets to see Shane Gillis in Central PA this week, you’re out of luck.

The Mechanicsburg native and comedian’s Tuesday show at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone in Fairview Township is sold out.

In fact, according to a message posted on Facebook by the comedy club, tickets for “Shane Gillis: One-Night-Only Special” sold out in 30 minutes.

This is no surprise as Gillis has amassed a significant following. The Trinity High School graduate is best known for hosting comedy specials such as “Beautiful Dogs” and “Saturday Night Live.”

He also co-stars in the scripted series “Tiers” on Netflix and is one half of Matt and Shane’s Secret podcast with comedian Matt McCusker.

Gillis is currently on an international tour of 39 cities. Their show, scheduled for January at Madison Square Garden in New York City, is sold out.

Gillis began performing stand-up comedy in Central Pennsylvania before relocating to Philadelphia to pursue his comedy career.

He has received accolades such as the 2016 Philly’s Funniest award at Helium Comedy Club and inclusion in Comedy Central’s ClusterFest as a rising “Up Next” star in 2019.
