This is Seth Meyers responding to Trump’s extremely long post on Truth Social about Jeffrey Epstein, in which the president suggested he was the driving force behind the release of the files and wrote that Epstein was “deeply connected with several well-known Democrat figures” (a line of argument that Jon Stewart responded to earlier in the week).
“I also like when Trump starts using big words like ‘respectively’ — that’s how you know he’s moving,” says Meyers. “If things get even worse, his next post will say, ‘I have spent a fortnight quietly laboring in obscurity to secure the release of these most precious documents and have since made it known that I was no friend of Jeff and the Island respectively, and therefore never visited.’
