The best of Bikini Bottom is coming to a Burger King near you.
The fast food chain announced on Monday, December 1 that it has launched a brand new SpongeBob menu in collaboration with “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for Squarepants”, which will be available at Burger King restaurants across the US for a limited time starting December 2, while supplies last.
According to a news release, the menu features creations “inspired by all your favorite SpongeBob movie characters,” including:
- SpongeBob’s Krabby Whopper: Flame grilled on a yellow square bun with a ¼ pound beef patty, melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and a splash of ketchup and mayo.
- Mr. Krabs’ Cheesy Bacon Tots: Crunchy, coin-sized tots filled with gooey cheese, salty bacon pieces and fluffy potatoes, served in a treasure box.
- Patrick’s Star-Berry Shortcake Pie: Strawberry Shortcake Pie Slices with strawberry and vanilla flavored creamy layers, a crispy cookie crumb crust, shortcake cookie crumbles and pink star-shaped sprinkles.
- Pirate’s Frozen Pineapple Float: Icy refreshing frozen pineapple-flavored drink topped with tropical-flavored cold foam.
- Bikini Bottom Bundle: Can’t choose just one? Enjoy all four items in a pineapple-shaped Under the Sea Box, along with a medium float and 8-piece Cheesy Bacon Tots.
- King Junior Food: Burger King is offering a special-edition King Jr. meal in a pineapple-shaped Under the Sea box, which includes one of six collectible SpongeBob toys and a limited-edition SpongeBob crown.
“This latest partnership with The SpongeBob Movie may be our most exciting menu yet, featuring four delicious menu innovations, one-of-a-kind toys and special packaging including two special edition BK Crowns,” Burger King chief marketing officer Joel Yashinsky said in a news release.
SpongeBob meal at Burger King follows Wendy’s Krabby Patty collaboration
Wendy’s teamed up with Paramount to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “SpongeBob SquarePants” by launching a Krabby Patty collab in October 2024, featuring two menu items available for a limited time.
Items included a Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty and the Krabby Patty Collab Burger, which was the series’ take on the iconic cartoon burger.
According to the news release, “The Krabby Patty Collab” event “brought food items inspired by the SpongeBob SquarePants “Krabby Patty” into the real world and menus for the first time.” The animated show first premiered on Nickelodeon in 1999.
