We’ve made it very clear that we’re not fans of this Scream 7. It seemed as if even the return of star Neve Campbell and series co-creator Kevin Williamson couldn’t save a film that was plagued with problems from the beginning. Nevertheless, the film was a huge hit in theaters and is now arriving home with a number of bonus features, some of which are extremely interesting.
scream 7 Will be released for digital download on March 31, followed by Blu-ray, 4K and DVD release on June 16. All editions come with 40 minutes of special features, divided according to the press release as follows:

Deleted scenes:

- chloe and lucas connect
- tatum and ben say goodbye
- jessica and sydney chat
- tatum and ben leave bar
- Chad and Mindy
While it’s always nice to keep some features and content, we focus most on these deleted scenes. In a film that didn’t have a lot of narrative cohesion and could have used a little more meat on the bone to help it along, you would hope that these deleted scenes could, possibly, offset some of the film’s flaws.
But will they? Those descriptions don’t give us much confidence. For example, “Scott is Ghostface” from the beginning almost certainly refers to the character Jimmy Tatro, which has nothing to do with the plot. “Chloe and Lucas” are also kind of tertiary characters whose “connecting” probably wouldn’t add much. Tatum saying goodbye to her boyfriend Ben feels exaggerated, like them leaving the bar.
But “Jessica and Sydney Chat” is interesting. Jessica (played by Anna Camp) is, umm, a very important character in the movie, and any more information about her and her motivations could help smooth some things out. And then “Chad and Mindy”, two characters who have carried over from the previous films, can perhaps help build that relationship, something that was missing in the final edit. So maybe, just maybe, these scenes might be at least a little additive.
Fans won’t have to wait long to find out scream 7 Digital hit this week. Will you watch again?
