Satechi’s new puck sticks a bunch of ports to the back of your phone

Satechi has announced a new multiport hub that resembles a hockey puck and is designed to connect to smartphones and laptops using a ring of magnets, but it’s not a wireless charger. The OnTheGo 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter has a total of seven ports and connects to devices using a short integrated USB-C cable that wraps around the hub when not in use. It’s available starting today at Satechi’s online store for $59.99 in a space black finish.

The adapter includes a 4K/60Hz HDMI port, SD and microSD card readers that support cards up to 2TB capacity, a Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and a USB-C port with up to 100W passthrough power delivery so you can still charge and power devices connected to the adapter.

The magnets allow the adapter to stick to the back of smartphones that support the Qi2 wireless charging standard, including MagSafe-compatible iPhones and Google’s Pixel 10 series with Pixelsnap. If you want to mount it on devices that don’t support wireless charging or aren’t Qi2-compatible, like your laptop or older smartphones, Satechi includes an adhesive ring of magnets that you can stick to any surface.
