"I go to a lot of schools and ask the kids, 'Who here wants to be a professional football player?' And 90% of them raise their hands. So it's really important to give those kids a pathway, an opportunity," Salinas said. "Well, it's those little times when you play, you know, here and there, and someone picks you up and they say 'Wow, you have talent and then you question yourself and you say 'Wow, do I really do this?' And it's like 'Maybe I should try this thing,'" Salinas said. The outstanding athletes from today's trials will be invited to an invite-only combine run by The Town FC in December.
